"Workaholics" is shutting down the office. Comedy Central has confirmed that the office comedy will end after the upcoming seventh season. The news doesn't come as a surprise though as star Adam DeVine hinted at the show's end back in July, saying, "This is it, we think. We've talked as a group. We kind of think now's a good time to put it to bed."

DeVine, who also co-created the series, and co-stars Blake Anderson, Anders Holm and Kyle Newacheck say in a statement to Deadline, "We would like to thank Comedy Central, Doug Herzog, Kent Alterman and all of the fans for turning us from Boyz II Men. It was an incredible run but we've decided to leave on a HIGH note. Get it?"

It's reportedly the stars' decision to end the show. DeVine, Anderson, Holm and Newacheck co-created the show along with Dominic Russo and Connor Pritchard.

The series follows a trio of roommates and co-workers at a dead-end telemarketing company. It was a breakout for Comedy Central with strong ratings in the young male demos. The show's success peaked in season 3 with more than 2 million viewers for its season premiere, but the numbers have been dropping afterward.

The seventh and now final season is scheduled to premiere in January 2017. Former "The Vampire Diaries" star Nina Dobrev is set to make guest appearance.
