U.S. Department of State: Washington didn't negotiate with Azerbaijan on anti-missile systems
The U.S. Department of State announced interest in cooperation with Russia in missile defense shield basing on the proposal for joint use of Gabala radar base in Azerbaijan.

"The U.S. is interested in cooperation with Russia in missile defense. We will hold close consultations with all the parties concerned, including our European allies," says a communiqué issued by the U.S. Department of State.

The U.S. expresses readiness to examine Russia's proposal and maintain contacts on the issue. Besides, the Department of State said it did not negotiate with Azerbaijan on anti-missile systems with Azerbaijan. Installation of anti-missile assets is being discussed with Poland and Czechia only.
