Iran: Creation of missile shield in Europe conditioned by US's efforts to be predominant force on continent
Iran closely watches discussions, which are held around Russian President Vladimir Putin's proposal to share the use of Gabala radar station with the United States, representative of Iranian MFA Seid Mahomedali Husseini stated to a press conference in Tehran. He underlined creation of missile shield in Europe is conditioned by US's efforts to be predominant force on the continent, as well as to enlarge his authority.
"Some political scientists think that generally the goal of this plan is to outstrip Russian and Chinese missiles. And in order to prevent it, Russians involved Azerbaijan, Iraq and Turkey. We study this issue and watch discussions around this subject," Husseini said.
He underlined during bilateral negotiations with Russia the Iranian side will discuss reasons of such issues.
A couple of days ago President Vladimir Putin offered the United States to share the use of Gabala radar station. By doing that the Russian side tried to prevent construction of anti-missile systems in Poland and the Romania.
