Armenia and Iran have signed an agreement on the free movement of vehicles, media outlets of the Islamic Republic report.

Head of Iran's Customs Administration Masoud Karbasian signed the agreement during his visit to Armenia. The document prescribes movement of vehicles throughout the two countries without permission and mortgage.

Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan said recently that Iran is not only Armenia's ally but also one of the country's most important partners.

The Premier also said that a special working group will be created with the Iranian side to discuss issues concerning the promotion of exporting goods (food and agricultural products, in particular) from Armenia to the Islamic Republic, while prospects of establishing a free economic zone in the territory bordering Iran is due for discussion.
