The opening of border between Armenia and Turkey concerns only the two countries involved in the issue, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly’s annual session in Istanbul, APA reports.

Stoltenberg made the remarks when asked to comment on how he thinks the closed border between the two countries affects Turkey’s efforts to build close ties with the European Union.

The NATO chief said since this issue is of bilateral interest, it has to be discussed at bilateral level only.

“Therefore, there is no way I can comment on this,” he said.
