Armenia, Iran eye cooperation in field of nanotechnologies

Armenia and Iran must develop cooperation in the field of nanotechnologies, Secretary-General of the Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council (INIC) Saeed Sarkar said at a meeting with Armenia's Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies Vahan Martirosyan in Yerevan.

At the meeting, also attended by Iran's ambassador to Armenia Seyed Kazzem Sajjadi, Sarkar briefed Martirosyan on the Islamic Republic's achievements in this area.

The Minister hailed the proposal, adding that an engineering town is scheduled to be established in Armenia, where leading tech firms will work, suggesting that the Iranian side also be represented in the town.

Besides, Martirosyan commended cooperation with Iran in the sector of transport and communications, eying more collaboration in the field of information technologies.
