Azeri reports on Karabakh casualties is disinformation: Defense Army

The Azerbaijani army violated the ceasefire in Nagorno Karabakh in almost all the directions of the contact line overnight on December 1-2. The Karabakh army suffered no losses, however.

"Azerbaijani media reports suggesting that one Armenian soldier was killed and nine others were wounded in "fierce military clashes" along the contact line are completely false," the Karabakh Defense Army said in a statement.

Violations were especially intense in the eastern section of the frontline, with Azerbaijani troops employing mortars and grenade launchers alongside various caliber firearms.

A total of 125 truce violations were registered by Azeri army, which fired more than 2000 shots overall.

The Nagorno Karabakh defense troops continue controlling the situation along the line of contact, retaliating in case of necessity.

The situation is calm at the moment.

Around 75 ceasefire violations by the Azerbaijani army were registered along the contact line the night before.
