Sum 41, Good Charlotte lead new bands added to Download Fest line-up

Download Festival have added a massive 20 new bands to their already huge line-up for 2017, NME reports.

Joining the previously announced likes of System Of Down, Biffy Clyro, Aerosmith, Slayer, Prophets Of Rage and AFI will be Sum 41, Good Charlotte, Coheed & Cambria, Clutch, Mastodon and many more.

Headlining the third stage will be Simple Plan and Sleeping With Sirens – which has now been renamed as ‘The Avalanche Stage’.

“It’ll have been a couple of years since our memorable Wake Up The Souls show at Wembley, so returning to the UK to headline Download, a festival we always love to play, is really exciting for us,” said System Of A Down, returning to headline Download for a second time after 2011. “The energy and atmosphere there is always electric.”

Download Festival takes place from 9-11 June 2017 at Donington Park in Derbyshire.
