Armenian airlines not included in European Commission's 'blacklist'
Armenia was not included in the European Commission's 'blacklist' of airlines prohibited from flying within the EU air space, press secretary of the chief department of civil aviation Gayane Davtyan said. The 'blacklist' published Wednesday by the European Commission doesn't include Armenian airlines," she said.

However, Ms. Davtyan said, after the A-320 crash Armenia was included in the list of the International Association of Airline Service. The republic was recommended to intensify measures for security of flights.

Meanwhile the International Organization of Civil Aviation rated the level of security of flights in Armenia as satisfactory, Novosti Armenia reports.

The European Commission's blacklist contains all of 51 Indonesian airlines, TAAG Angolan airlines Angolan major air carrier and Ukrainian Volare.

Airlines from Russia, Bulgaria and Moldova have decided to bar flights to the EU states after consulattions with the European Commission.
