Ryan Adams joins Depeche Mode & more on NOS Alive 2017 line-up

One of Europe’s finest festivals, the line-up for NOS Alive 2017 just grew a little bigger – with Ryan Adams joining the already stellar bill, NME said.

Playing on the Heineken Stage on 6 July, Adams will be joining previously announced headliners Foo Fighters at the Lisbon bash, before Depeche Mode close the Portugal festival. Meanwhile, The Kills, Warpaint, and Alt-J have also been confirmed.

Earlier this month, Adams confirmed his upcoming 16th album ‘Prisoner’ – due for release on 17 February.

“I think the theme of this record is that we’re all prisoners of some desires, in that the very things we love are the things that hold us hostage and keep us trapped,” he told NME. “Either we are the cage or we’re in the cage and it’s trying to figure out in every situation which of those things is real.”

NOS welcomes Foo Fighters back to Portugal for the first time in six years, where they’ll be performing on Friday July 7 before Depeche Mode close proceedings on July 8. The Kills will be performing on the Palco Nos stage on July 7.

The rest of the line-up is yet to be announced, but Nos Alive 2016 saw incredible performances from the likes of Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Pixies, Chemical Brothers, Biffy Clyro, Robert Plant, Wolf Alice and many more.
