Facebook Messenger for desktop getting group voice, video calls

Facebook Messenger enabled users to make group voice calls using the mobile app earlier this year in April but the feature has not yet been released for desktop users. It seems that this is going to change in the near future. The social network has confirmed that the Facebook Messenger desktop group voice calling feature is now being tested. Once this feature is released it’s going to become a viable alternative to existing communication services for desktop that enable users to make group voice calls, Ubergizmo reveals.

Facebook has confirmed that the Facebook Messenger desktop group voice calling feature is being tested with a select number of users at this point in time. Those who are a part of this test see a phone icon on their group chats, they only need to click on that icon to invite members to join a voice call.

The social network is yet to confirm how long this test is going to take and how long users will have to wait before the Facebook Messenger desktop group voice calling feature is released for everyone.
