EU glad with level of cooperation with Armenia
As Portugal and Slovenia do not have embassies in Armenia, France will represent the European Union in the republic till July 2008, French Ambassador to the RA, Serge Smessov told a news conference in Yerevan. "Armenia is experiencing a very important period in realization of the Armenia-EU Action Plan within the ENP. The Delegation of the European Commission will contribute to development of trade, agriculture and ecology," the Ambassador said.

For his part, Mr Raul de Luzenberger, Chargé d'affaires of the Delegation of the European Commission to Armenia, said the mission should assess Armenia as a country with market economy. "The Armenian government is open for cooperation. We agreed that the EU assessment mission will pay a call to Armenia to decide whether to grant Armenia the status. It will be beneficial and will allow to mark out further plans," he said adding that the EU is glad with cooperation with Armenia.
