1,259,657 tourists arrived in Armenia in January-December 2016, the National Statistical Service reported, up by 5,7% on the year before.

1,262,687 people departed from Armenia in the reporting period, up by 6,3% year-on-year.

As of January 1, the estimated resident population of Armenia amounted to 2,986,500 people, down by 12,100 or 0.4% against the figures registered exactly a year ago.
