EU doesn't agree to divide Kosovo into Serbian and Albanian parts
The European Union has rejected the idea of dividing Kosovo into ethnic parts — the Serbian and the Albanian. EU Commissioner for Enlargement Olli Rehn said after the talks with Serbia's Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic that the division - such as the above mentioned - is at variance with the principles of the contact group of international mediators for the Kosovo settlement. The idea to divide Kosovo was suggested by the Netherlands as a compromise between Belgrade and Pristina. The European Union and other mediators fear that the decision may create a dangerous precedent, RBK reports.
