Armenian grandmaster Hovhannes Gabuzyan on Friday, February 3 came first at the blitz event of the 25th International Fajr Sabalan Cup 2017.

93 chess players participated in the blitz on Friday, with Gabuzyan snatching eight points out of possible nine.

Ghaem Maghami Ehsan from Iran took the second spot with 7,5 points, closely followed by Spain's Oleg Korneev (7 points) in the third position.
