Armenia sends more aid to Syria

A second plane loaded with humanitarian aid has left Armenia for Syria, Sputnik Armenia cited minister of emergency situations Davit Tonoyan as saying.

"Around 20 tons of essential products, which included clothing, sleeping bags, and medical supplies, were sent on the second plane," Tonoyan said.

"The packages will reach Latakia to later be transported to Aleppo."

According to the minister, the new deliveries are driven by the needs of the Syrian Armenian community.

Diaspora minister Hranush Hakobyan reminded, in turn, that four planes of humanitarian aid have been sent from Armenia to Syria in the last four months.

As always, the new batch of products will be distributed among Armenians and Syrians alike.
