Manchester United news: Mourinho gives injury update on Mkhitaryan

Jose Mourinho expects Henrikh Mkhitaryan to be back in time for Manchester United's FA Cup quarter-final match away to Chelsea in 10 days' time, The Mirror reports.

The Armenian sustained a hamstring injury against Saint-Etienne last week and subsequently missed United's EFL Cup victory over Southampton.

Mkhitaryan, 28, won't feature against Bournemouth this weekend and Mourinho suggested he is unlikely to return in Thursday's Europa League clash with Rostov in Russia either.

"Mkhitaryan is still out," Mourinho told MUTV on Friday, March 3. "He didn’t recover in time for this game.

"I believe, during the next week, especially for the weekend [ahead of the trip to Stamford Bridge], he will be fine and we don’t have major problems."
