Stand-up comedian Louis C.K. to host "Saturday Night Live"

Louis C.K. is returning on "Saturday Night Live". The stand-up comedian will be hosting the show in an episode which is set to air on April 8. The Chainsmokers is set to appear as the musical guest in the episode, AceShowbiz said.

The line-up was announced on-air during March 11's episode, which was hosted by Scarlett Johansson. The episode will mark C.K.'s fourth time as the host, while it will be the first time for the "Closer" hitmaker to perform on the NBC sketch show.

C.K.'s appearance on the show is expected to bring a great take on political view. As for now, the "American Hustle" and the "The Secret Life of Pets" actor is busy co-creating FX's comedies "Baskets" and "Better Things". His TV credits include "Portlandia", "Gravity Falls" and "Parks and Recreation".

Meanwhile, sharing their excitement to be on the show along with C.K., The Chainsmokers wrote on Twitter, "Louis CK is our favorite comedian, we are playing brand new music on SNL from the album on a show we admired since we were kids!" They added, "But for real, is this actually happening... are we dreaming..."
