Kocharian off to Dushanbe for CIS Summit and CSTO Council session
Today Armenian President Robert Kocharian is departing for Dushanbe for participation in the CIS leaders' summit and sessions of the CSTO and EurAsEC councils, the President's press office reported.

The Armenian delegation includes Mikael Harutyunyan, the Minister of Defense, Armen Gevorgyan, the Secretary of the National Security Council, and other officials.

The CIS summit will open with a presidential meeting to be followed by a plenary session. The discussions will focus on the concept of CIS's further development.

During the CSTO session, the Presidents are expected to exchange views on priority trends of the Organization for 2007-2008. A number of documents on cooperation will be submitted for consideration of the Council.

The Armenian President will also participate in the EurAsEC Council sitting as an observer.
