Four Armenians will participate in the European Women's Individual Chess Championship 2017 which will launch on April 11 in Riga, the Latvian capital.

Grandmaster Elina Danielyan, international masters Lilit Mkrtchyan and Lilit Galoyan, and women's international master Maria Gevorgyan will represent Armenia in the event.

Coach Artur Chibukhchyan said the team are now training intensively in Yerevan, set to hold a training session in the Armenian town of Tsaghkadzor on April 1-8.

The results of the European games will determine the 14 best players for the upcoming World Championship.
