Armenian presidential elections set for February 19, 2008
Armenia will hold presidential elections February 19, 2008, Chairman of the Central Election Committee Garegin Azaryan said.

"The elections will be held on Tuesday, which will be announced a non-working day," he said.

According to the Armenian Constitution, President is elected for a 5-year term. During the previous elections held March 5, 2003, President Robert Kocharian won second term in office. He is not entitled to come forward as a candidate for the third time.
