Peter Semneby still planning to visit Karabakh
"EU Envoy's trip to Nagorno Karabakh should not be a subject of dispute," the European Union Special Representative for South Caucasus, Peter Semneby, said when commenting on reports claiming that his scheduled visit to Stepanakert will not take place due Baku's demands to visit Karabakh via Azerbaijan, but not Armenia.

"I have no intention to go into details on the ways I am going to tour Nagorno Karabakh. The EU wants to be useful and we do support the endeavors for resolution of the conflict. Any visit by the EU Envoy should not become a subject of dispute. This is the important criterion. Both sides are tempted to use any foreign force as a way to consolidate their claims in this conflict. It is disappointing, because such an approach deprives us from the freedom of acting, and the sides from the tools for moving forward," Semneby said.

He reiterated his intention of visiting Nagorno Karabakh, but refrained from mentioning any terms, Mediamax reports.
