Pixar’s “Coco” unveils all-Latino voice cast, character details

Pixar has announced the entire voice cast of the upcoming animated film "Coco" along with character details. A stunning poster has also been shared by Pixar via its Twitter account, offering a look at main character Miguel, his dog Dante as well as the Land of the Dead, AceShowbiz said.

Miguel is voiced by newcomer Anthony Gonzalez. The character is a 12-year-old Mexican boy who wants to be a musician despite his family's generation-old ban on music. Miguel's strict but devoted grandmother will be voiced by Renee Victor, while Ana Ofelia Murguia will lend his voice to Mama Coco, Miguel's beloved great-grandmother.

Miguel and his dog Dante originally live in Santa Cecilia, but they eventually find themselves arriving in a stunning Land of the Dead, where they meet a trickster named Hector (Gael Garcia Bernal). Together, they start an adventure to track down Miguel's deceased musical idol Ernesto de la Cruz (voiced by Benjamin Bratt).

Miguel will also try to unveil the mystery behind his family history. He will have an encounter with his deceased family members, which include his great-great-grandmother Mama Imelda (Alanna Ubach), aunt Tia Rosita (Selene Luna), great-grandfather Papa Julio (Alfonso Arau) and his twin uncles Tio Oscar and Tio Felipe (Herbert Siguenza).

In addition, Jaime Camil and Sofia Espinosa will lend their voices to Miguel's parents, whereas Luis Valdez will voice Miguel's uncle. Directed by Lee Unkrich and Adrian Molina, "Coco" is set to hit U.S. theaters on November 21.
