Moscow views development of contacts with Armenia as important factor in region
During the visit of Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian, Armenia and Russia are planning to verify approaches on a number of principal issues. We intend to outline further steps for coordination of Moscow and Yerevan's foreign policy," RF MFA Spokesman Mikhail Kamynin told RIA Novosti on occasion of Vartan Oskanian's visit to Moscow December 4-6.

Russia also calculates on further cooperation within CIS and CSTO as well as within international organizations such as UN, OSCE and CoE, he noted.

"Security and stability in the Transcaucasia will be in focus. Development of multifaceted contacts with Armenian partners is viewed as an important factor for improvement of situation in the region," Kamynin said adding that Russia confirms adherence to a political resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict in format of the OSCE Minsk Group.
