Tom Cruise allegedly wants to share screen with ex-wife Nicole Kidman in a potential romantic movie. New Idea reports that Cruise has approached Kidman to star opposite him in a film about a divorced couple who relive their love again, AceShowbiz said.
The publication also claims that the possible project will see Cruise and Kidman in love scenes. "Nic was stunned when Tom reached out to her about working together again," says a source to the publication. "And she was even more taken aback about what he had in mind...especially as he wants them to do love scenes," the source adds.
Rumor has it, Cruise and Kidman's relationship has "softened" since Cruise's split with Katie Holmes in 2012. As for the possible Cruise-Kidman-starring project, Kidman is reportedly considering the offer. However, there hasn't been any official response from Cruise and Kidman's representatives regarding the rumor.
Cruise and Kidman are no stranger to starring opposite each other in movies. Back in 1990, the two shared screen in drama "Days of Thunder". They were starring alongside each other again in romantic flick "Far and Away" (1992) and Stanley Kubrick's erotic thriller "Eyes Wide Shut" (1999).
Cruise and Kidman tied the knot on Christmas Eve in 1990, but they eventually got a divorce in 2001.
