New Armenian President to be invited to TRACECA summit in Baku
Newly elected Armenian President will be invited to Baku for participation in TRACECA jubilee summit, said Akif Mustafayev, the secretary of the TRACECA committee.

The Azerbaijani President will personally send invitations to heads of state, he said.

"Azerbaijan undertakes to hold the event in compliance with all accepted rules. In 1998, when Azerbaijan hosted a similar summit, Armenian Prime Minister arrived instead of the President. Presently, the atmosphere is rather calm. Presidents and Foreign Ministers hold meetings in various cities. We do not see any problems and will do everything to hold the event in a proper way," Mustafayev said.

Visits of Armenian officials to Azerbaijan grew more frequent recently. Experts view the fact as a serious move toward reconciliation. However, political scientists apprehend negative consequences, Yeni Musavat newspaper reports.
