Safarov 8-month suspended sentence upheld
The Budapest Court of Appeals upheld the verdict of 17 November, 2006 to Ramil Safarov, sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering Armenian officer Gurgen Margaryan.

A court of first instance gave Safarov an 8-month sentence for disobedience to authorities. On February 19, 2004, the prison guards told Safarov to give his phone card. Not knowing Hungarian, Safarov failed to understand them and a fight started.
