Manchester United may still be getting Gareth Bale

Manchester United will go back in for Gareth Bale next summer as Jose Mourinho looks to snap-up a world class winger, The Sun reports.

The United boss looked at bringing the Welshman in during the previous transfer window, but Real Madrid did not want to sell.

Bale has had a tough 12-months in La Liga, suffering a number of injury problems and being booed by his OWN fans.

And Mourinho is hoping to persuade the ex-Tottenham ace to come back to the Premier League in a sensational £90m-plus deal.

The Red Devils are understood to have made enquiries over the availability of the 28-year-old this summer.

But Los Blancos chiefs made it clear he was NOT for sale, and would knock back any attempts or bids to sign him immediately.

It was however indicated that a deal might be able to be struck in 2018, and a huge offer would be considered.

Madrid see Marco Asensio and Isco as their stars of the future, and also have a number of youngsters coming through their ranks.

Mourinho has been an admirer of Bale for a number of years, and is keen to bring in another top level superstar with next year’s transfer kitty.
