RA public's prosecutor office received 17 complaints about election campaign violations
By January 30, the RA public's prosecutor office has received 17 complaints about violations of the election campaign. As result, 3 criminal cases were initiated; 5 complaints were rejected; 7 are being considered.

Chairman of Parliamentary Club - Supreme Council NGO, Ruben Torosyan informed that he was rejected registration as an observer. He also said that some employees of the public prosecutor's office exceeded their commission.

The public prosecutor's office also received alerts on assault of Artur Baghdassaryan's election headquarters and beating of a Levon Ter-Petrosyan's supporter in Talin. Criminal cases have been initiated.

On January 29, an alert came from Dilijan, where unknown tore the posters and stole the state flag from the balcony of the election headquarters of ARF Dashnaktsutyun candidate Vahan Hovhannisian.

On the same day Yerevan public prosecutor informed that drivers of some 150-200 vehicles accompanying the car of presidential hopeful Levon Ter-Petrosyan neglected the signal to stop and got into the oncoming traffic lane. A criminal case was initiated.

Armenia's Ombudsman Armen Harutyunyan said he condemns all activities hampering the work of election headquarters of a presidential candidate. "We call to tolerance, since radiant future can be built in intolerance," he said.

Mr Harutyunyan informed that his office received a number of complaints about violations. "We came across some difficulties caused by the legislation which sometimes supposes mutually exclusive approaches to the same phenomenon," he said.
