In the clip package at the start of "From Russia To Iran: Crossing The Wild Frontier", British explorer, writer and photographer Levison Wood has visited Armenia too.

In the green highlands of Armenia, he met a gloomy shepherd who belonged to the country’s 30,000 strong Yazidi community.

“I’m pretty sick of it actually,” he said.

“That’s what happens when you do one job for 25 years.”

In the series, Wood undertakes a 2600-mile trek across the mighty Caucasus mountains, on the tense frontier between Europe and Asia.

In Episode 4, the exploerer travels through Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh, before heading into Iran towards the Caspian Sea and the journey's end.
