Serbs protest Kosovo independence
Protesters took to the streets in key Serb centers across the Balkans on Monday to vent their anger at Kosovo's declaration of independence a day earlier.

Protesters smashed windows at the U.S. and Slovenian Embassies in Belgrade.

In the Serbian capital Belgrade, some 7,000 people gathered in Republic Square, carrying Serbian flags and singing anti-Albanian slogans.

Several thousand Serbs also gathered in their north Kosovo stronghold of Mitrovica, shouting
"Kosovo is Serbia" and marching to the bridge across the River Ibar that divides them from the Albanian south of the town, Reuters reports.
