Armenia is establishing an Honorary Consulate in Chicago with a Consular District covering the Midwestern United States, the Armenian embassy in the U.S. said in a tweet.

Foreign minister Edward Nalbandian has appointed Oscar Tatosian to serve as the Honorary Consul.

Armenia also has Honorary Consuls in Fresno, Las Vegas, while the country'sConsulate General is in Los Angeles.
