Yerevan mayor's office urges to stop unauthorized rallies
Unauthorized rallies disturb the capital's life, cause traffic jams in downtown and hamper free movement of citizens, said a statement issued by Yerevan mayor's office.

"Yerevan city administration calls on initiators and participants to stop unauthorized rallies and the sit-down strike.

"Insanitary conditions have been created at the sites when rallies are held; the rule of observance of silence during night is being roughly violated," the statement says.

The opposition movement was launched on February 20 to protest the results of the presidential election won by Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan with 52,82 per cent of votes.
