Baghdassaryan not going to join Ter-Petrosyan
Armenian presidential hopeful, Orinats Yerkir party leader Artur Baghdassaryan has no intention to join ex-President Levon Ter-Petrosyan.
"We do not hold talks on unification but we need to establish a political dialogue to find a way out of the situation," he told a news conference in Yerevan.
"We have already condemned the measures the authorities take. However, we can't accept the conduct of Ter-Petrosyan who announced himself winner of the presidential election," he said, adding that talks may be held on the possibility of a re-election or other ways to overcome the crisis.
"Both power and opposition have taken extreme positions while my voters expect assessments and decisions. I can't issue a recipe but I can sober down the public," the OY leader said.
Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan won the presidential election with 52,82 per cent of votes. He was followed by ex-President Levon Ter-Petrosyan (21,5 per cent) and Artur Baghdassaryan (17,7 per cent).
