Edict on emergency rule signed and can come into force any moment
The edict on introduction of emergency rule is signed and can be divulgated at any moment, Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian told a news conference in Yerevan.
"Presently, Robert Kocharian is consulting with defense and law enforcement agents. If the law-enforcement machinery and protesters fail to reach an agreement, the state of emergency will be imposed," he said adding that Levon Ter-Petrosyan's supporters started encroaching on private and state ownership, what is inadmissible.
