Emergency rule not violated in Yerevan
The state of emergency has not been violated in Yerevan by March 6, colonel general Seyran Ohanyan told a news conference in Yerevan. The rule is observed both by the army and the society, according to him.

Speaking of the role of media, Ohanyan said, "Media serves as a bridge between the armed forces and the public."

The 20-day state of emergency was imposed by Armenian President Robert Kocharian after the rallies organized by former President Levon Ter-Petrosyan had grown into disorders and clashes with police.
