EU okays Mediterranean Union formation
Formation of the Mediterranean Union of the EU and non-EU states of the Mediterranean basin was approved in Brussels, thus advancing the EU political and economic goals in the regions immediately bordering with the EU.
The solemn formation ceremony will take place in Paris on July 13.
The Union will include 27 EU member states and 12 Mediterranean countries, including Israel and Turkey, NewsRu reports.
