Armenia invested $6.4 million in Georgia’s economy in 2017

Armenia’s foreign direct investment in the Georgian economy amounted to $6.4 million in 2017, data provided by the National Statistical Office of Georgia reveals.

Direct investments thus grew 49% year-on-year as Armenia had invested $4.3 million in the neighboring country in 2016.

Direct investments into the Georgian economy amounted to about $1.86 billion last year, with Azerbaijan alone accounting for investments worth $558 million.

Turkey and Great Britain follow in the second and third spots, with $279 million and $250 million investments, respectively.
