ARMENIAN PREMIER AND GEORGIAN DEFENSE MINISTER AGREED ON JOINT SETTLEMENT OF REGIONAL ISSUES
Armenia is ready to do everything possible in order to settle issues in the region. Armenian Premier Andranik Markarian stated that today at the meeting with Georgian defense minister David Tevzadze, who is in Yerevan with an official visit. According to the premier, "there are issues in the region the settlement of which depends on the wish to settle them". At the meeting, Markarian stated concerns regarding the hard social state of Armenians in Samtskhe-Javakhetia region of Georgia and expressed readiness of Armenia to assist in development and implementation of program of social economic development of the region. It is necessary to pass on to concrete steps and in that way to prevent the tension and numerous speculations. Tevzadze agreed with that joint efforts are necessary in order to have stability and peace in the region.
