'KAROT is Nostalgia' festival to be held in Moscow May 13-19
May 13-19, the Russian capital will host "KAROT is Nostalgia. Days of Armenian Culture in Moscow."

As PanARMENIAN.Net came to know from the festival organizational committee, the program includes over 15 events, namely concerts, literature soirees, art exhibitions, opening of new Armenian school building, première of "Christian Armenia" film essay, etc.

Besides, the attendees will have a chance to see renowned Russian and Armenian actors in a performance about the trial of Soghomon Teyleryan, who killed Taleat Pasha, the instigator of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire.

A contest of Armenian cuisine will be held with participation of businessmen and politicians.

The apotheosis of the festival will be a gala concert in the State Kremlin Palace and Karot Award Ceremony. President Dmitry Medvedev of Russia and Serzh Sargsyan of Armenia, Minister of Culture Alexander Sokolov of Russia and Hasmik Poghosyan of Armenia as well as Mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov and Mayor of Yerevan Yervand Zakharyan are expected to attend the ceremony.

The festival is organized by the Armenian Culture Development Fund.
