Today Armenian minister of trade and economic development Karen Chshmaritian and UNDP resident representative in Armenia Joel Boutroue signed a document on working out a strategic program for economic development of the country. As Karen Chshmaritian stated at the signing ceremony, the program costing 50 thousand US dollars provides for expert estimates, planning the future economic development of Armenia and will be totally coherent with the main trends of the strategic program on poverty reduction. In the minister's words, the integration into the international market has positively told on the development of the Armenian economy, but has also had negative impact, in particular, due to reduction of prices at the international market. "The program main task is to work out such direction of economy, which will minimize the negative tendencies of international development and maximize protection from them," - K. Chshmaritian said.
