"Even before the May 12, 2007 parliamentary elections, I numerously stated that I will continue my activities in the parliament. The rumors are false and I will never comment on the issue again," he said, requesting the media to prevent rumors of the kind, Novosti Armenia reports.

Hearsay about Torosian's resignation and appointment of current head of presidential administration Hovik Abrahamyan as NA Speaker has been spread throughout the republic recently.
