Czechia to strengthen ties with all ENP participant states
Czechia's newly appointed Ambassador to Armenia Ivan Jestrab (residence in Tbilisi) handed his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan, the RA leader's press office reported.

"Armenia attaches importance to development of bilateral relations with Czechia and cooperation within international organizations. Feeling a member of the European family, Armenia eyes integration to European structures as a priority of its foreign policy," the Armenian President said.

"Although the level of the Armenian-Czech political relations is high, economic ties are not strong enough yet," Mr Sargsyan said.

For his part, Ambassador Jestrab noted that with assuming the EU chairmanship in January 2009, Prague will deepen cooperation with all states engaged in the ENP. "Czechia is interested in developing relations with all South Caucasus countries, particularly with Armenia," he said.
