Opposition rally going on in Yerevan
Several thousand of Armenian opposition supporters took the streets Friday to join the rally at Matenadaran, the depositary of ancient manuscripts, scheduled for 6 p.m.

The adjacent territory is controlled by the police. Law enforcers call on the demonstrators not to block the traffic in the center of Yerevan, IA Regnum reports.

On June 12 the opposition leaders informed the Mayor's office of their intention to hold a rally in Liberty Square but the latter rejected authorization over a children's' event scheduled in the Square on that day and offered to gather near Hrazdan stadium.

However, the oppositionists decided to gather at Matenadaran.
