Although the commission on foreign financing of the US House of Representatives has resolved to give 84.3 million US dollars of aid to Armenia in 2003, Armenian organizations of US expressed hope to manage to convince the Senate and House joint commission members of the necessity to increase the sum to 90 million dollars. In particular, the work in this direction is already being carried out by the Armenian Assembly of America and the Armenian National Committee of America. As it is known, the foreign financing commission also resolved to give Armenia additional 3.75 million US dollars as military assistance, as well as to continue giving aid to Nagorno Karabakh.
