Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan won his second goal of the month award with Arsenal for the goal he scored in the Gunners' Premiere League fixture against Southampton, Arsenal's official website reveals.
The playmaker previously won the award in August.
At the match on December 16, 2018, Mkhitaryan found goalkeeper Alex McCarthy's net twice but Arsenal were still unable retain their unbeaten run - since August - and lost to Southampton 3:2.
Mkhitaryan's strike gained 40 per cent of the votes cast, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's second goal in the north London derby win against Tottenham finishing narrowly behind.
Mkhitaryan said after the Gunners' 2:2 draw against Manchester United on December 5 that Arsenal aim to be in the top four. The Armenia international said Arsenal's desire and commitment saw them through to the final whistle at Old Trafford, earning a point from a highly competitive encounter against Manchester United.
