Armenia expects new investors and more tourists from UAE: PM

Armenia expects to see new investors and an increased number of tourists coming from the UAE in the near future, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a meeting with the outgoing Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Armenia, Jassim Mohamed Al Qasemi.

Pashinyan thanked the Ambassador for close cooperation and wished him every success in his future activities.

Stressing the importance of developing political dialogue and economic exchanges between Armenia and the UAE, the Premier expressed hope that interaction between the two countries will continue to expand and strengthen ahead.

On behalf of the UAE Government, the envoy congratulated Pashinyan on his appointment as Prime Minister and expressed confidence that the two countries’ joint efforts will result in new success stories in the coming years, including trade and tourism. The Ambassador advised that many UAE investors are keen to implement investment projects in Armenia’s energy and agricultural sectors and stand ready to work closely with the Armenian government in this direction.

Both sides stressed the role of the intergovernmental commission in terms of promoting cooperation between the two countries and exchanged views on other issues of topical interest.
