Merkel, Pashinyan to meet in Berlin on Feb. 1

German Chancellor Angela Merkel will meet Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on February 1 in Berlin, head of the German Federal Government's press service Steffen Seibert revealed on Tuesday, January 29.

According to him, the leaders of the two countries are scheduled to have talks in the course of a working lunch, during which Merkel and Pashinyan will discuss bilateral and economic relations, foreign policy and security issues.

Merkel said in a statement in December that she is looking forward to meeting Pashinyan following the December 9 snap parliamentary elections.
