RFI to regularly broadcast programs in Armenian

Radio France Internationale, generally referred to by its acronym RFI, will broadcast programs in Armenian once in a fortnight.

RFI first aired programs in Armenian within the framework of the Francophonie week in October 2018.

The Armenian capital of Yerevan hosted the XVII Francophonie Summit on October 11-12. Dozens of heads of state, including French President Emmanuel Macron and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, arrived in the country for the summit.

Armenian journalist Elena Gabrielian prepared and introduced the program to the public and will continue to do so after the success of the short-term initiative last year.

Gabrielian will, in particular, prepare the program “RFI speaks Armenian” and presented it from Paris on Saturdays.
