Georgian Defense Minister to visit Armenia on February 21

A delegation headed by Georgian Defense Minister Levan Izoria will visit Yerevan on Thursday, February 21.

Izoria and his Armenian counterpart David Tonoyan are expected to sign a bilateral agreement on cooperation between the defense ministries for 2019, Georgia-Online reports.

Within the framework of the agreement, it is planned to organize high-level visits and cooperate in the field of defense education and law.

This is going to be the first visit of the Georgian Defense Minister to Armenia after his appointment to the post.

The last bilateral deal on cooperation between the defense ministries of Armenia and Georgia was signed between the ex-Minister of Defense of Armenia Vigen Sargsyan and Izoria in Tbilisi in 2016.

The agreements were signed on the main areas of cooperation: exchange of experience in the field of strategic planning, military education, medicine, military police.
